Glass ceilings
Women do two thirds of the world’s work, receive 10% of the world’s income and own 1% of the means of production.
78% of newspaper articles are written by men, 72% of Question Time contributors are men and 84% of reporters and guests on Radio 4's Today show are men.
There are only two female editors of national newspapers and we have a parliament that contains only 22% female MPs, 22% female peers and 22% female cabinet ministers.
Where do we start?
